In June, the DFW labor market lost 10,300 jobs as the unemployment rate rose to 3.8%. Despite the job losses, overall job postings saw an increase of 5.1%. Inflation rose in June across Texas and the U.S.

This week we welcome Dr. Prabhas V. Moghe as the sixth president of The University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Moghe joins UT Dallas from Rutgers University, where he served as the executive vice president for academic affairs.

Rockwell Collins dba Collins Aerospace will expand its aerospace manufacturing and R&D operations in Richardson, a project that will create more than 570 new high-wage jobs and over $57 million in capital investment to North Texas. The expansion was supported by a Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant of $3.7 million and a local incentive package from the City of Richardson.
