Economic Development Update

In April, the DFW labor market gained 20,700 jobs and the unemployment rate dropped from 3.8% to 3.5%, primarily driven by “leisure and hospitality” and “professional and business services.” Overall job postings rose 4.6% while the Consumer Price Index saw increases across Texas and the U.S.

Dr. Prabhas V. Moghe

Dr. Prabhas V. Moghe will officially become the next president of UT Dallas, effective August 2. Dr. Moghe currently serves as the executive vice president for academic affairs at Rutgers University.
