Labor Market Update

In October 2024, the DFW labor market gained 33,800 jobs, led by growth in the government and wholesale/retail trade sectors. The local unemployment rate held steady at 3.9%, in line with state and national trends. Job postings increased by 3.7%, with financial manager and nurse practitioner positions seeing significant growth.
