Economic Development Update

This month’s DFW Labor Market Update shows continued growth in the region, with workforce numbers reaching all time highs. This month also marks the release of the CPI data for March, showcasing that prices indeed seem to be on the rise in the Metroplex.

UTeach Dallas, a program in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, recently announced that they have received a three-year, $500,000 grant from Communities Foundation of Texas’ W.W. Caruth, Jr. Fund. This fund will go towards supporting the programs efforts to recruit and retain science and mathematics majors for careers in teaching by enabling them to earn a teaching certificate without adding time or costs.
