Texas Job Gains

The state job market experienced a prosperous 2023. Texas’ annual growth rate of 3% outpaced the national rate. Indeed, 26,800 jobs were added in November alone, bringing the total jobs added to 407,100 over the prior year. This marked thirty-three consecutive months of job growth for the Lone Star State. Most industries

saw gains, with many private industries adding a combined 24,200 jobs. “Texas dominates as America’s jobs engine, again adding more jobs over the last 12 months than any state in the nation,” said Governor Gregg Abbot.
