Economic Development Update

May 25, 2022

In this month’s edition of The Connection, we explore some of the most recent data from the American Community Survey and how it can be used to promote economic development. By combining this and drive-time data our team has put together a workforce study centered around some of the largest business parks in the region.

UT Dallas broke ground on the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum, a new on-campus cultural district featuring a second location for the Crow Museum of Asian Art, a performance hall and a planned museum for the traditional arts of the Americas. This project was made possible in part by the support of a $32 million gift from the O’Donnell Foundation as well as the donations made by the Crow family in 2019, including the entire collection of the Trammell and Margaret Crow Museum of Art and approximately $23 million in support funding.

We are happy to fulfill customized data requests for our North Texas economic development partners and to connect your organization with resources and contacts at UT Dallas that could lead to mutual economic development partnerships.

Please reach out to F&ED to learn how your organization can partner with UT Dallas.
