Economic Development Update

From February to March 2026, the DFW labor market added 20,500 jobs as unemployment rates declined across DFW, Texas, and the US. Job postings increased 9.4%. Inflation rose across all regions, with DFW recording the highest increase at 2.9%.

The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) has signed a lease at Bank of America Tower at Parkside in Uptown Dallas. With around 100 employees, TXSE will occupy various spaces in the building, including the ground floor and a sky lobby on the 12th floor. TXSE was announced in 2024 with more than $100 million in backing from major players like BlackRock, Citadel Securities and Charles Schwab. That figure has grown to $275 million due to investments from Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and others. The TXSE’s presence in Dallas is a testament to North Texas’ rapid emergence as a financial service hub.
