Economic Development Update

March 11, 2026

Our team has recently updated our “Women Employed in STEM” dashboard. This tool provides a snapshot of women’s employment in STEM across U.S. metro areas. It summarizes women’s representation in total STEM employment and women’s earnings relative to men, with breakdowns by major STEM occupation groups that highlight where women are most represented and where pay gaps persist.

Dr. Calvin D. Jamison.

As some of you know, Dr. Jamison will soon conclude nearly 19 years of transformational leadership and dedicated service at UT Dallas. To continue his legacy, the Dr. Calvin D. Jamison Scholarship has been established. This scholarship will honor Dr. Jamison’s commitment to community service, campus enhancement, and student

success by expanding opportunities for UT Dallas students engaged in the Young Scholars program. You are invited to attend and participate in the Dr. Calvin D. Jamison Retirement Celebration and Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, April 16.

We are happy to fulfill customized data requests for our North Texas economic development partners and to connect local industry with UT Dallas research and workforce development initiatives.

Please reach out to Jenny Mizutowicz, CEcD to learn how your organization can partner with UT Dallas.
